Your information, handled with care.

• Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email, home or project address, and anything you tell us about your home when you fill out a form, text us, or become a Handled member.
• Photos and videos. Images you send us of your home or a repair so we can understand and complete the work.
• Text messages. The content of texts you exchange with us, including with our text assistant.
• Payment information. If you pay online, your card details are handled directly by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical data. Standard information your browser sends when you visit our site, used to keep the site running and secure.

• To respond to your inquiry and provide estimates, projects, and Handled membership services.
• To schedule visits, track your service list, and keep your home maintained.
• To send you updates about your project or membership, and to bill for completed work.
• To run, secure, and improve our business and our website.

We use an AI-powered assistant to help manage requests by text. When you message us, the content may be processed by our technology providers to understand your request and add it to your service list. A real person at KDB reviews and carries out the work. Our AI provider does not use your messages to train its models. If you would rather speak to a person directly, just call us at (714) 202-7684.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only so they can perform their service for us. These include companies that provide website hosting, our database and file storage, text messaging, our AI assistant, email delivery, and payment processing. Each is bound by contract to protect your information and use it only on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of KDB, our customers, or others.

If you text with us, you are consenting to exchange messages about your home and services. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations as a licensed contractor. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We use reputable, security-focused providers and limit access to your information to the people who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Our services are for homeowners and are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated policy.
