This yard in Orange has a covered lounge with a TV wall, an outdoor kitchen with bar seating, a fire pit, a deck, and a dining area under string lights. We designed it as one plan and built all of it with one team.

The island is stucco with concrete counters, and it holds a built-in grill, an ice maker, a refrigerator, and storage. The back side is a raised bar, so guests sit and talk to whoever's at the grill.

The covered structure has a wood ceiling, recessed lights, and overhead heaters. It's anchored by a wall of stacked wood slats that holds the TV and frames views of the trees behind it.

There's a concrete fire pit with built-in bench seating, a deck with planters set into it, and a dining area on decomposed granite. String lights run over all of it.

This yard wasn't large, so every foot had to earn its place. A real wood deck steps down from the house and becomes the dining room, with a long table that seats the whole family. The outdoor kitchen sits at the edge, so whoever is grilling is still part of the conversation. Past the deck, a fire pit and a wood privacy screen turn the corner into the spot where evenings end. We built all of it.
